Mangalam
A wonderful concert by Priya Sisters.. Gaanamurthe was a treat for the audience, right from the alaap to brisk rendition of swaras.. The confidence and command that the two sisters have is amazing. As for Haripriya , the way she carries herself shows how knowledgeable she is.. Her amazing alaap with creative moments and brikas as she glides through with ease elaborating the raaga Todi was amazing..
The highlight of the concert was the pallavi in Mohanam with the words "Krishna Mukunda Giridhari Unnati seva jaripinchu"....specially set by their guru Sri TR Subramanium for this particular concert.
They were accompanied by Sri MA Krishnaswamy on the violin who did a great job. The percussion support of Neyvelli Sri Skandasubramanium on the mridangam and Sri Purushottam on the Kanjira was outstanding.
