Vidwan Anil Murthy is one of the senior disciples of Sangita Kalanidhi Padmabhushan Vidwan T.N.Seshagopalan and has been under his intensive training for more than 18 years. Sri. Anil Murthy had his earlier training in music from Sri.T.K.Ranganatha Bhagavathar in Calcutta for 8 years. He also had a brief specialized training from Dr. R.K.Srikantan. He has performed all over India and has been awarded the Ananya Yuva Puraskara, Awards from Gayana Samaja for best raga rendition, best pallavi rendition and award from Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy.

The Concert will be preceded by an extempore Laya Vinyasa by the students of Suswaralaya .

The concert is this evening. There is also a competing invitation for a bharatanatyam arangetram from a friend. However decided to go for this concert due to nearness from home and my "loyalty" to Nadasurabhi. The Laya Vinyasa of Sri.Sudhindra's students at the beginning of the programme is something I am curious about. Normally it is quite interesting.
