This unique singer chose to elaborate Hamsadhwani in the 1990 concert, showing her unerring sense of what Mysore rasikas would appreciate. Also featured is the unforgettable Bhavani Dayani of the Begum who stole our hearts decades ago.

The post also features a fine remembrance of the man who would have been 100 tomorrow.

The centenary tribute is to the Gana Kalopasaka, Ganakaladhara Madurai Mani Iyer, by way of reproducing a fine article by another true rasika Sri BMN Murthy.
