A very well received concert ! With swarams for saraseehusanapriye krithi, Shashikiran and Ganesh gave the concert a good start ! Ganesh sang a fabulous saveri raga alapana followed by this lovely composition on Thulasi. They wrapped up the song with a couple of avartanams of neraval and swarams. Bhogindrashayinam came up as a good contrast after the reethigowla krithi. Ragam and Tanam were shared by Shashikiran and Ganesh and both of them did a great job singing all the ragas that came up as "Listener's choice" from the audience. Thanam included some lovely ragas....Nilambari, Manirangu, Shubapantuvaralai and Valaji. The duo with Delhi Sunderrajan had interesting exchange of swarams for the pallavi. Neyveli Venkatesh and K.V.Gopalakrishnan gave amazing support to the singers. While I was hoping that they would sing a couple of krithis post the main piece, they wound up the kucheri with the Sindhu bairavi thillana ! Kudos to the team !
