My neighbour, bless their soul, have set up a 3:15 alarm. It's surely ineffective in waking them up, but awakens me.
Reaching out to my lovely Walkman, I listen to RKM.
What, one more Mohanakalyani? Ullasa nirakula yoga vida...Arunagurinathar's prayer to Kanda. Superb melody from RKM. Then a dash of Mukhari, ending in Kapi.
What unforgettable Kapi from young RKM!
Then follows sōdanai sumaikkivvēẓai āḷā...

I agree. His manner of singing sounds quite mature. Self-assured and confident, and just comfortable in his own skin is how I perceive him based on the audio, though I have not been to his live concert yet. His passion for Mukhari does not hurt his chances with me, the one you referred to a few months back, kanrin kuralai kEttu, has been on my frequent listening list of late.
