Sripati (vishNu) ratipati (manmatha) vAkpati (brahmA) and paSupati (Siva) make sense..what is srnapati? Or, is it gaNapati?
I like how power cut features in the rAgamAlika section! :)

Some personal impressions:

1. Strain in voice was apparent on the very first note. Think this was the last of a hat-trick of sorts and it had taken its toll.

2. Violin accompaniment was exemplary from the beginning and heightened the concert, especially the kalpana swara sections.

3. There was no neraval in anandabhairavi but several sangatis at "uma hamsagama brova tamasama" that brought out the majesty of this composition. Wish it would be sung more often.

4. No trace of voice strain by the piece in Bhairavam which was delivered with great flair. Some combination of swaras in this kriti (as also in Ninu Joochi in Sowrashtram) I find most endearing.

5. This was probably the only alapana of Ratipatipriya of this entire season. That alone made the morning trek including a hurried jog from Parthasarathy Swami Sabha where I mistakenly landed up and even sat through a little of the lec-dem worthwhile.

@Jigyaasa, Lakshmanji: Thanks for the corrections.

@rshankar: In spite of all the technology (inverters etc.), the goal of a seamless switch in case of power failure at least as far as the sound system goes is still out of reach :-(
