Overall, a very good concert at an auditorium with comfortable seating and good acoustics. Great move by the organizers to complete the felicitation and vote of thanks upfront, so no break during the concert!

For me, the piece of the day was the Arabhi alapana by Ranjani. The RTP was also excellent, particularly the mandra sthayi and lower part of the madhya sthayi sancharas in the alapana and tanam - very meditative.

There were quite of a few requests at the end of the RTP, which apparently were for abhangs mostly. The sisters asked which one to pick, and also if the audience wanted to hear something new. Ended up staying with an old favourite.

R and G are going from strength to strength. Thodi alapanai by Gayathri, in my opinion was the highlight. Uninhibited, full throated majestic presentation.

Sudhindra and Narayana murthy provided very understanding and cheerful support. Bhaskar was a bit lack lustre. Sometimes playing violin for high pitch female voice can be tricky. Excellent concert. Quite deservedly got sold out. Even if braindrain wasn't allowed inside, I can imagine the plight of ordinary mortals
