The last caraNam and some words in the others seem totally contrived. I hope that Rajani, Smt. Savitri or others will help to clarify it better. It is also possible that I have the words wrong - I have not heard caraNams 4 and 5 sung.

Like the other composition attributed to sage agastya (SrI cakra rAja simhAsanESvarI), this one too seems to have a combination of sanskRt and tamizh words.

pallavi
prabhO gaNapatE paripUraNa vAzhvaruLvAyE

My lord (prabhO), gaNESA (gaNapatE), please bless me (aruLvAyE) with the boon of a full (paripUrNa) lifespan (vAhzvu) [1].

caraNam 1
shArndu vaNagit-tudi pADiyADi undan sannidhi sharan aDaindOmE
shAnta citta saubhAgyangaL yAvaiyum tandaruL sadguru nIyE

Together (SArndu), we have bowed down (vaNangi) to you, danced (ADi), sung (pADi) your praises (tudi), and attained (aDaindOmE) your (undan) sanctum-sanctorum (sannidhi). You alone (niyE) are the good preceptor (sadguru) who blesses (tandaruL) us with a calm (Santa) mind (citta) and all kinds (yAvaiyum) of good fortune (saubhAgyangaL).

caraNam 2
AdimUla gaNanAtha gajAnanA arputa dhavaLa svarUpA
dEva dEvA jaya vijaya vinAyakA cinmaya parashiva dIpA

The main/original (AdimUla) elephant-faced (gajAnanA) master (nAthA) of the gaNas, one with a wondrous (arbhuta) white/pale (dhavaLa) form (svarUpA). God (dEvA) of the gods (dEva), remover of obstacles (vinAyakA) who grants victory and conquest (jaya vijaya), who is a lamp (dIpA) of pure thought/intellect (cinmaya) (that reflects) Siva (paraSiva) [2].

caraNam 3
tEDit-tEDi engO OduginrAr unnai tEDik-kaNDu koLLalAmE
kOTi kOTi mada yAnaigaL paNi seyyak-kunrena viLangum pemmAnE

Searching (tEDi tEDi) for you (unnai) (they are) chanting (OduginrAr) (about you) somewhere (engO) without finding (tEDi) and beholding (kaNDu koLLAmalE) you, oh lord/god (pemmAnE) who, served by (paNi seyya) by countless (kODi kODi) [3] proud (mada) elephants (yAnaigaL), flourishes (viLangum) like (ena) a mountain (kunRu).

caraNam 4
jnAna vairAgya vicAra sArA svara rAga laya naTana pAdA
nAma bhajana guNa kIrtana nava vidha nAyaka jaya jagannAthA

One who is the very essence (sArA) of thoughts (vicAra) of knowledge (gnyAna) and freedom from worldly desires (vairAgya), one with dancing (naTana) feet (pAdA) (that dance to) musical notes (svara), melody (rAga) and rhythm (laya). Hail (jaya) to the lord (nAthA) of the world (jagat) who is the worthy recipient/leader (nAyaka) of nine (nava) types (vidha) (of devotion), including chanting (bhajana) of his names (nAma) and singing (kIrtana) of his sterling character (guNa).

caraNam 5
pArvati bAla apAra vAra vara parama bhAgavata bhavatrANA
bhaktajana sumukhA praNava vinAyakA pAvana parimaLa caraNA

Son (bAlA) of pArvati, who is a boundlessly (apAra) exquisite treasure (vArA), one who is the most excellent (vara) and supreme (parama) devotee of vishNu (bhAgavata) [4], protector (trANA) against the world (bhava), one who is always pleasant (sumukhA) to his devotees (bhaktajana), vinAyakA, who is the essence of the primordial sound (Om – praNava), who has fragrant (parimaLa) and holy (pAvana) feet (caraNA).

FOOTNOTES
[1] I think ‘paripUrNa vAzhvu’ can also be interpreted as a ‘life (vAzhvu) filled with every want and desire (paripUrNa)’
[2] paraSiva is the most supreme form of Siva
[3] kODi literally is a ‘crore’
[4] Reminds me of how purandara dAsaru refers to Siva as the ‘parama vaishNavanu’

Ravi - thanks for the exhaustive and wonderful translation. Some thoughts :

1. The last stanza, it could be "bhava - tarana" since taranam means to cross over or help cross over
2. If we consider "bhAgavata bhavatarANA" as one compound word, it would be "one who helps devotees cross over"
3. Charanam 3 = I've heard it as " tEDit-tEDi engO OduginrAr uLLE tEDik-kaNDu koLLalAmE" ( ie why run here and there, one can find you inside)
4. "mada yaanai" - elephant in rut. Though proud elephant is also correct technically.
