Thanks sankark and thanks to sriram Lakshminarayanan for not only sharing these cleaned up (in sound quality!) gems but also for the lyrics and meaning for all those who want to sing them. I heard several of them and want to hear more.

AnDavan pichi's 'pithan enRAlum avan pEyan enRAlum' is just wonderful. VK has sung it so beautifully.
Though AnDavan Pichi (some say pichai) was not highly educated, she came from a family of distinguished writers (sister of tA.nA Kumaraswamy and tA. nA. Senapathy). Wordplay was in the air around her in her growing up years.

I also see VVSadagopan's tamizh composition AdhAram nIdAn enRaRindEn in the list!

Those old records are scratchy and audio is terrible.
It is a massive job cleaning up! A greaat job!
