I had the privilege of listening to Girish's concert on icarnatic webcast. It was a very enjoyable concert, well supported by accompanists. in the brief allotted span of 1 hour, the artiste presented a truly classical concert, bringing out the essence of ragams. In particular, the simplicity and ease with which padams and javalis were rendered, would have surely left rasikas to wonder and marvel for a long time to come. May the Dhanammal bani always flourish!

Thanks for the review of girish. I have just attended just one live concert of his . He has a strong voice and has real intense classicism.Also keerthana shankar's dad also used to post here somewhat regularly. I am assuming she is one of the two sisters who also give vocal duet.

This was a wonderful concert. Right from Mayamma till the very end, Girish had the audience in his grip and yearning for more.
