Getting lucky, saw this lyric posted (by our Lakshman!?) at meerasubbarao blogpost. I have added my translation.

P: aLuvudyAtako ranga attaranjipa gumma - why cry as if you're scared, oh Ranga=Krishna, since your cry will only scare away 'Gumma' (boogieman) (as you're invincible)
C1: huTTidELu divasadali duSTa pUtaniya konde muSTi
viSada moleyuNDa kAraNa drSTi tAgite ninage rangayya -- on the seventh day after birth, you killed Putani, did feeding a fistful (a little) on her poisoned breast cause any evil eye to be cast on you!?
2: turuva kAyalu pOgi bharadIndra maLe gareye beraLali
bettava negahida kAraNa beraLu uLukite ninage rangayya - when Indra poured incessant rain, as you were grazing cattle, you lifted with your finger a huge mountain- did your finger suffer a sprain, oh Krishna?

kalakida kAraNa kAlu nondite ninage rangayya- in childhood, as you sported with other young cowherds, you vanquished Kaliya in his waters, did it make your legs pain, oh Krishna?

kamsana konda kAraNa kisaru tAgite ninage rangayya- as son of Vasudeva, by killing demonic wrestlers and vengeful Kamsa, did some evil eye fall on you, Ranga?

salahuva karuNAnidhiyE varada purandara viTTalarAya - prostrations, oh lovely lord of Velapura and ocean of mercy to the surrendered, oh gracious Purandara Vitthala!

I have corrected the Kannada words where they were misspelt.
Velapura is the old name for Belur in Karnataka with the famous stone temple of Chennakeshava, built in tribute to Vaishnavism after Sri Ramanujacharya initiated King Bittideva into worship of Vishnu.

anjipa is intransitive. Gumma will get scared.

Additionally in another version, C1 has muTTi instead of muSTi. Would that be more appropriate?

To my mind, the entire song is about how Krishna can't be a cry-baby because he repulsed every formidable adversary. So even gumma who normally scares kids will himself be scared.
muSTi rhymes with duSTa, and dRSTi.

Krishna is being addressed as a human child here.
Therefore, He is being asked to explain the reason for his laments.
Many incidents in his childhood are mentioned.
His Divine personality is referred in the three fourths
of each carana and the rest is addressed
to the child in kriShNa.
I think the word ’anjipa’ indicates that the child kriShNa is
told that the bogeyman will scare him.
The lyrics, if written in this way may be a bit more clear.

Sorry Savithri-ji, I DON'T think that the poet thinks gumma will scare Krishna. He himself gives reasons why Krishna can't be scared.
Normally 'gumma scares baby' > 'baby cries' is the sequence, here the sequence is inverted: 'Krishna's cries'> 'Krishna scares gumma'. That is the touch of humour about this song 'aLuvudyAtako' (why cry?).

May be it is 'attaranjuva gumma' ?
