Lji,

You are the first person who comes to my mind whenever I have trouble identifying composer names. Need your help in finding composers of songs 7 & 10. (If time permits, pl also check if composer for #4 has been indicated correctly by me)

Thanks for your help !!

Ram

Thank u Lji.

Sri S.D. Sridhar played raga alapanas well. Though brief at times, they conveyed the essence of the raga. He also managed the kuraippus sung by TNS well with some very good support on the khanjira from Sri B.S. Purushothaman. This again demonstrated how artists can help each other on stage and get the best results out as a team.

My reviews for all the four concerts(24,25,26 and 27) will follow shortly after the performances are over. I cannot compete with Ram in his speed..We oldies have heard the song kaNmaNiye in Saranga by GNB. But to hear it in Kapi from TNS was exhilerating. The viruttham siruviralgal is Periazvar Pasuram from the ten beautiful verses bu which he describes the flute playing by Krishna.

Well .... if you talk about speed ... may be yes. But then like TNS said before the concert "if there is more of 'vEgam', then 'vivegam' becomes less". What is needed more is 'vivegam' and that is what your post would supply. Looking forward to your postings on the concerts.

Sarojaram, could you please post your reviews on the threads for the original concerts rather than starting new threads. it will be much easier to read and track, rather than having 10 concerts of tns all descirbing the same concerts....
