Looking for an audio performance to listen

Post by chitra0828 »

My daughter is about to start learning the devamanohari varnam, "Palumaru ninne". I believe it is by Kottavasal Venkatrama Iyer, although i'm not sure. I am having difficulty finding a professional performance (or any actually) on youtube.com. Would anyone have an electronic version that they can email to me or upload? Let me know, I'd much appreciate it. A woman's rendition would be awesome, but that's only secondary. A professional artist's rendition like Dr pantula Rama, or TM Krishna would be absolutely fantastic :).

Thx Chitra

My guru Prof.Nagamani Srinath has released a varnam cd - teaching and chorus rendition which includes the varnam you mentioned. The varna is taught and then sung in chorus with Vidushi Nagamani leading the chorus.

You can opt to get the tracks by email or in the form of a CD.

There is Vedavalli's rendition in sangeethapriya.org . You may use the tracks catalog search utility to locate it

I think there is a renditon by RS Ramakanth also on Sangeethapriya (probably an AIR upload by Sri TVG).
