Sedate start - apt - sItApati for sItAram mrmorial!!

Highlights - Excellent N at the pallavi line in raghuvara - maravatagunA, nannu maravatagunA etc... beautiful. Alapana which adhered to the limits of not traversing below lower nishadam and upper rishabham. Good support by Sumithra during the alapana in higher octaves for both bhairavi and shaNmukhapriya. Excellent use of suddha dhaivatham in bhairavi with a LOT of prayogas weaved around it.

Good support by the accompanists to enhance the music.

The Sriragam song kanakavela was new to me and reaffirmed that there is almost endless variety possible in music. Very nice song. Ramabhirama was a pleasant surprise, like unexpectedly meeting an old friend. Sriram Parasuram played a good Shanmukhapriya ragam and had to be on his toes in a couple of places, for example the ragam changes in the tanam! Very engaging concert, which I was fortunate to attend from A to Z.
