Palghat Ramprasad - BU GaneshPrasad - Neyveli Narayanan - Anirudh Athreya.
Started off with Dhanyudevvado malayamarutham which already set the tempo for what was to come. Neraval and swaram was well anticipated by NN, and the combo was tranquile. Tharyneenyan in dhwijavanthi was a tempo contrast, NN emebellished the slow tempo, to say the least. Polla puliyinum was a filler in fast tempo again. Then came in my favorite - Kanada and Sukhi evvaro. Haven't heard it in years....to say the least it was sublime - the ragam was in its pure form, as has been the trade mark of this artists for sometime now. I liked the swarams and korappus - which I thought BUG could not follow till the end - NN got to it. Thani was splendid - AA has a very nice tone to his instrument, which I do not find in others - perhaps somethg exlcusively taught by Nagarajan. Purahara was again a filler.
Then came in Varali RTP: the crisp ragam, and the mesmerizing tanam made me want to leave right after it to have it lingering in my ears, but decided to stay for the pallavi. Aravinda patra nayanam (Seshachala nayagam lines)......heard the ragamalika, and left right after....not sure what he sang after that. On the whole, yet again, a very chaste and pure concert. unfortunate I will be missing his next few.

The padam is "Tharuni Njan Endu Cheyvoo". It is attributed to Maharaja Swathi Tirunal.
