Wow what a song!
And superb use of the words rhyming in 'te' all through the verses in the song
Thank you for the word by word meaning, very useful to understand the meaning and pronunce the words correctly
Only 1 point i noted, most singer sing 'dina jana nijakare i/o nikare' in C1

Hari Shankar,
Yes I too think it's a perfect song.
Obviously dInajananijakarE is rather meaningless

No I mean nikarE is correct.
bhaktanikara has been used by Vasudevachar also. I found it in another context in a Sanskrit ashtakam

Re: Pahi sri giriraja suthe - Word by word meaning request
RSachi - I have a question about nikarE - in Adi Sanakara's annapURNAshTakam, in the very first verse he refers to the dEvi as 'nirdhUtAkhila ghOra pApa nikari' - which translates to 'She who rids (nirdhUta) the world (akhila) of the heaps (nikara/i) of dreadful (ghOra) sins (pApa)'
bhakta nikara would mean a horde of devotees, right? I am not sure how dIna jana nikarE fits into the meaning here.

Re: Pahi sri giriraja suthe - Word by word meaning request
Am clueless on Sanskrit. But considering the tempo and tune of the song i think Deenajana nijakare will sound more suitable than nikare.
Anyways i will check the Brinda Mukta version of this song that i have to confirm. Am sure they are are ones who will tamper with lyrics at any cost. So if they have rendered the line as nijakre then ...........

I checked a version from Brinda on S'Priya. Her diction is not too clear..
But I think I heard nijagatE!
it alliterates nicely too since most of the corresponding words end in tE
