A 3hr 40 mins concert keeping the full house auditorium in raptures.
Brisk Charukesi varnam set the tone.Revagupti was beautiful and so was samaja varagamana

I am not a great kalyani fan and was disappointed ( A oh no not again feeling) when she started it ,as almost every second singer sings kalyani.I am bored of it.
It is to Nithyashree's credit she did it marvelously with interesting twists and turns making me eat my thoughts back.

There were lot of requests from audiences don't know whether she sang them.The tukkadas were new to me atleast.
One important observation was she was not hitting her standard high notes,Infact it was just one or 2 times .She has toned down i felt .

It was a concert well planned and melodious.

Ramdass was brilliant in his hindolam and kalyani and supported her well

Shertalai and Sivaramakrishnan were able supporters not drowning the singer.

An excellent concert indeed.

I think Om Sakti Om Sakti Om is the refrain for the mahAkavi Subrahmania Bharati's paen to a whole host of the gods in the Hindu pantheon. Smt. Nityashree sings it very well.

Yes, ARu ThuNai is the name of the song where gaNapathi rAyan, Sakthi, vElan, sarasvathi, kaNNan and tirumagaL are invoked.

I'm glad BhArathi has specified a rAgA, as he has for some of his verses. My edition does not mention a rAgA for this one, though.

In her very old album Nithyasree has sung Om Shakthi Om Shakti Om in raga sounding like Brindavani (Brindavana Saranga).
