Suryaprakash - Vocal
Sandhya Srinath - Violin
Srinath - Mridangam.

Concert on Sunday, June 16th.

1. Varnam in Kalyani (I missed this one, it was mentioned in the speech.)

2. Vallabha nayakasya..

3. Evaranee – Devamruta Varshini

4. Aarabhi – Paahi Parvata Nandini – Adi - Swathi Tirunaal
Fluent swaras both by sp and ss

5. Varali – Maamava Meenaakshi Rajamathangi – Misra Chapu – Dikshitar
Neraval in two speeds @ Shyame Shankari Digvijaya Pratapini
Suryaprakash is in full form, reminding me of some very nice football (soccer) dribbles and feints during the neraval to applause..

6. Enta Vedukondu Raghava – Saraswathi Manohari – Adi – Tyagaraju

7. Bhairavi Alap – Yaaro Ivar Yaaro.. - adi – Arunachala Kavi

8. Sakala Graha Bala Neene Sarasijaaksha – Atana - Khanda Chapu – Purandara Dasa

9. RTP in Shubhapanthuvarali
Pallavi : Thamadam thagaadayyaa Murugaiyya
Enai kaakka
In Khanda Jati triputa taalam.
Swaras in Shubhapanthuvarali, Behag (singing swarams with obvious but neat transitions from prati madhyamam to a Shudda madhyamam), Revathi, with a beautiful landing on Tamadam Tagaadayya, , with a beautiful return in the same vein by Sandhya.. The versions of the pallavi in the various ragas (at the end of the kalpana swarams) by both sounded inspired..

9. Kaana vendamo - Sriranjani – Aadi (Trisra Nadai) – Paapanasam Sivam

Just copy-pasting my list and comments as I wrote it then, just want to share. Suryaprakash did a wonderful job. It was a superb concert.. Really enjoyed it. The Bhairavi alap and the Shubhapantuvarali expose were truly wonderful, by both.. Sandhya Srinath (of Bangalore, formerly from the Washington, DC area) gave wonderful support that I beautifully reflected SP. There was more after item 9, a viruttam, and a piece but I could not hear it as the sound was getting more and more feeble as I got busier too. It was because sound quality could not be assured that permission to share the link with rasikas.org was denied.

A speaker at the end mentioned Hindolam in the mix, but I hadn't caught that, and I am assuming it was a Grihabhedam. I don't think there was a piece in HIndolam or in any ragamalika.. I don't think I missed a piece, busy as I was at home. Will let you know if I find out about it. I also apologize for being unable to provide details about the mridangam performance or the mridangist.

Felt happy and privileged to have had the chance to listen in, many thanks to the person who enabled it.
