Naadhabrahmam celebrates its 12th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday the 22ndJune 2014 atSastri Hall, Mylapore. Twelve eminent makers of musical instruments who are economically backward will be honoured with a cash award of Rs.5000/ each (cash award instituted by Anujan Foundation, Chennai). Shri M. Narayanan, former CMD, Tourism Finance Corporation of India will light the Kuttuvilakku, Shri Mohan Parasaran, Senior Advocate & former Solicitor General of India will preside and honor the awardees and Shri V. Vasudevan, Founder Trustee, Anujan Foundation will felicitate. The award ceremony will be followed by a vocal duet concert by Dr. K. Krishnakumar & Smt. Binni Krishnakumar.

Admirable initiative. Congratulations to all concerned. IMHO it is enough to call them eminent makers of musical instruments. Their economic backwardness is better left unadvertised. Our respects to these artisans for their invaluable contribution to Carnatic music.
