I had the unique opportunity to attend a carnatic concert by a team of three youths born and raised in Tampa,FL.
The vocalist Sheela Ranganathan is only seventeen years old. But her performance on the stage was so perfect that one could have easily mistaken her for a mature adult, had we not been informed of her age. She has a very nice voice and reached the higher octaves with least effort yet maintaining her sruthi. Her selection of songs included several composers in different ragas and talas.
