Dear friend,
It was a delightful experience today with Mandolin Shrinivas leading the team of Sri H. K. Venkatram on the violin, Sri Raja Rao on the Mridangam and Sri Giridhar Udupa on the Ghatam. The born Homie they shared on stage told upon the audience also and made an inseparable connection. Shrinivas gave all present a variety and each piece was dealt with sensitivity and exuberance. There were occasions where one was floored by the classism exhibited and other times when one was awestruck by the dexterity with which Sr. Shrinivas handled the mandolin. Sri H. K. Venkatram was outstanding on the violin. The rhythmic patterns and the sheer energy with which Sri Raja Rao played the mridangam, took the concert to a different level altogether. Sri Giridhar Udupa was brilliant with his responses and added huge value to the concert. We truely are blessed to have experienced such a wonderful concert.
