The concert today by Ramakrishnan Murthy showed us that great things come, not only in small packages, but YOUNG packages too! Ramakrishnan exhibited that he could execute both fast as well as the weighty kritis with great ease. His swara and neraval patterns kept the audience enthralled and the ease with which he could keep the pace with the Mrudangam and Violin artistes was a treat to watch. He is gifted with good voice and range that showed throughout the concert. H.N. Bhaskar on the Violin, was a perfect complement to the Ramakrishnan’s music. His ideas were inspiring as well as supportive to the main artiste. K.V.Prasad on the Mrudangam was of immense support to Ramakrishnan. Ranganatha Chakravarty on the Ghatam accompanied well.
