I found lot of dis-connect in the previous day concert attended in the same
venue with most of the krithis were on rama looked like a rAmanavami concert.

Given the context, occassion and the venue, Malladi Brothers gave
a wonderful concert. Looking at the good set of krithis cleverly emphasising
the Navarathri & Sankara mutt, the kutcheri was complete in all aspect.

They got into the groove early with chakravAham and natabhairavi rendered
beautifully and got the connect with the rasikas. The Alapana of devagAndhari
by Vid Ravikumar was good.

Vid Sriramprasad spoke about the importance of gosamrakshana and why they are
making it a point to sing the dhenuka krithi in most of the concerts. He then
did a good bhairavi alapana followed by kshetra krithi of kanchipuram.

purvi kalyani krithi was new to me and unable to identify. Checked with him
post the concert it was composed by sriyanandha nadha. Sindukannada filler
was to re-energised the audience.

Vid Ravikumar did a elaborate Sankarabaranam alapana and by the time I was
too happy that they are going to sing 'sarOja daLanEtri".

Both neraval and kalapana swaras were excellent.

Vid Pradesh achar, first time am listening to him was good in his returns.

Having heard 'deafening thunderous thani's" for last the two concerts, the Tumkur
sibilings gave a short and good thani.

It was already close to 9 PM and the concerts here at mutt are not more than 2 hours
thought they will do a tukkada and close but a wave of tukkadas came along
to everyone's surpise.

Apparently that song in Dhenuka is the composition by their father and guru Vid. Malladi Suri Babu

# 12. govardhana giridhara gOvindA gOkula bAla - kAnadA is a surprise to me as Malladi brothers invariably sing this in Suddha Sarang.

Malladis sang that song in Dhenuka in Hyd in 2011( I think they also announced that, that was the first time they were singing that kriti on stage!).
Kaamadhenukaam Asraye- Dhenuka- a composition of Sri Anandha natha Sathguru, set to tune by their father Malladi Suri Babu garu.
