It was a truly excellent concert. The highlight of the day was definitely the Mukhari. Gayathri's aalaapanai in it was one of the very best I've heard.

The concert was a nice one.But the over enthusiastic rasikas were applauding very often disturbing the rhythm of the concert.The varnam was very disappointing as the duration allotted was only 3 minutes,not allowing the accompaniments to warm up.It is to the credit of young violinist B K Raghu who rose to the occasion in the main song of the concert - Mukhari raga.The mike settled down after the usual hick up.

The pallavi was dedicated to Mandolin Srinivas.
I liked the gambhira natai. I find that these days their pallavis find lot of hindustanish treatment with lots of slides - not to my liking - varamu, dwijavanti and desh - the last 3 RTPs that I have heard from them.
