Arupathama (அற்புதமான )Vocal concert by Akkarai Sisters.

If there is a voting for a preference between their Vocal and Violin concert certainly there will be a tie. The duo is popular among the rasikas for their Violin Concerts - proved that they are simply marvelous in the vocal concert as well.
Akkarai Sisters (Ms Subhalakshmi & Ms Sornalatha) Vocal Concert at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore Chennai on 13th October 2014. Singing on behalf of Mylapore Arts Academy 19th Annua Music Festival
Even before the start of their evening concert the auditorium was fully occupied
While -Keetavaram Tharuvar Iyyan- a composition from their father Suchindram Shri S Swamynathan was charmingly presented in Rangamalika(Nattai, Aarabhi, Varalai Sree ) their main krithi (kolu vamaregada )todi alap was expansive, as they explored the raga with their rich repertoire and it was a real gem. The following were list of songs covered by them.

Keetavaram Tharuvar Iyyan-Rangamalika(Nattai, Aarabhi, Varalai Sree
Ramanatham Bhajeham Panthuvarali

kolu vamaregada – tODi
With Ms Ranjani Ramakrisnan provding wonderful violin support- Neyveli R Narayanan in Mridanam and Dr Kathik in Ghatam – Mylapore rasikas cannot ask for anything more.
Virutually they have set the tone for the season – and the rasikas will have double bonanza during the season between their Vocal and Violin Concerts

I guess the rAgamAlika was "கேட்ட வரம் தருவார்"- kEtta varam tharuvAr. From the sequence of ragas mentioned, Rajesh's assusmption that Gowla was left out in the report must be correct.
