RTP Kanada - tuned by R K Sriramkumar - Palinchutaka nadachi vaccitivo, sri ramachandra nannu, sang one line swaras in kanada and immediately moved to mohanam and then played around for sometime in swaras with these two ragas, then swaras in madhyamavati, within one tala cycle he sang little mohanam swaras, little kanada swaras and then madhyamavati swaras- then sang behag swaras, sindhu bhairavi and then all ragas in reverse. When he sang mohanam swaras he sang pallavi line reminding one of nannu palimpa and when he ended with madhyamavati swaras he sang pallavi line reminding one line paalinchu kamakshi.

He is talented but a bit aggressive. His voice was not so clear in upper registers. Too much physical movements during singing was distracting. RTP was good. The occasion for the concert was Seetha Kalyanam performed in the morning, here in Abu Dhabi. But Ramakrishnan Murthy did not sing on that theme.
Submain and Main he could have chosen some other ragas and songs. Shankarabharanam was a bit tiring.
Violin and Mridangam was really good. Charumathi followed RMK like a mirror, which was really awesome.
Ghatam was okay.
The concert atmosphere was very bad with people moving here and there and constant noise in the back side made by kids. It was a very sad plight for the artistes who were very surprised by the total lack of atmosphere. Now and then screams and shrieks were heard from the hall back side.
Concert started around 06:45 and ended at around 10:15pm. The organisers were telling them to perform till 11pm unmindful of the horrible noise and atmosphere.

I saw that the musicians uploaded a photo taken on the plane, on FB, showing their great enthusiasm for the trip.

I don't know about the theme etc. but surely your comments resonate with me.

I have a feeling that an excessive number of concerts back to back will wear and tear anyone's voice. I did comment in a separate thread about the excellent concert of RKM in BSU a couple of days back.

From your comments about the kind of ambience and crowd, i feel perhaps nobody informed the musicians about the occasion or theme.

Yes, that famous song is "brundavanadoLu ADuvanAre" by Purandara Dasa; it describes Krishna's incomparable beauty as he plays the flute in the garden of Brindavan.
