Dear NRI's
The plane usually hovers around this sabha as it is in the runway path prior to touchdown at the chennai airport. YOU all can jump with your parachute at pozhichalur, finish the evening concert and then collect the baggage . I can vouch one place in chennai that ensures quality as there is absolute time given to artists. The key phrase is "ALL CONCERTS COMMENCE AT 5.30 PM" . The legacy of Late Sri R Krishnamurthy(founder of this sabha) is carried forward by his family and other patrons . What can I say when Late R Krishnamurthy told me when I met him for the very first time he said , "This sabha's first concert was inaugurated by TRS- Do you know TRS???" .

I didn't know Pozhichalur Krishnamurti had passed away. he and about 50 of his team members from Pozichalur were regulars at Tiruvaiyyaru, not for the Aradhana but they used to sponsor an abhishekam for Thyagaraja at his Samadhi on one of the bahula panchami days, mostly in August. Three years ago I had the pleasure of meeting them at the Samadhi. Some of them sang during the abhishekam, mostly ladies. They were a devoted lot. They used to come in a chartered bus from Pozhichalur to Tiruvaiyyaru.
