Thanks rshankar. I would have loved to be there. Hope they recorded it and the Percussive Arts Centre (PAC) would release it for all of us to enjoy and learn ( at the minimum the power point slides of Shri. Rajamani ). It is an interesting coincidence that a similar seminar of sorts is being provided for us here by Balaji and msakellaji and just recently we discussed the very same topic 'aesthetic aspects of rhythm': http://www.rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=2286 echoing similar sentiments expressed by Shri. Sankaran.
The author of this article rightfully bemoans the fact that there was no interaction between the experts and the audience. Forums like ours is where the maximal interaction takes place without too much constraints of space and time. That is quite a blessing indeed.

What you said is the right thing and you, the active people can very well serve more to our society by beautifully and efficiently organizing the well needed seminars, workshops etc., etc., on ungently needed problems to deal with them very efficiently by the out-coming suggestions of these seminars. For example, I, at this age, cannot work like you going here and there to meet people and to get sponsorships etc., to do such noble things, but can work hard even without any monetary benefit at all. But, you people can mobilize such things and ably do. Do it. amsharma.vasanthakokilam wrote:Forums like ours is where the maximal interaction takes place without too much constraints of space and time. That is quite a blessing indeed.
