S.Aishwarya at Indian Consulate Hall, Dubai

This is the first concert I could attend in Dubai and am happy to share the list with you. It was a concert of the great grand-daughter of M.S.Amma, S.Aishwarya. Very happy to have met our rasikas.org member Cienu Sir, Mr.Srinivasan, who is Aishwarya's father and grandson of M.S.Amma. Sir please do share the nitty gritty details of the concert. Glad to have met Aishwary's mother too.
It was a house full concert in the Indian Consulate Hall, Bur Dubai. It was held under the auspices of Music India Dubai as part of Tyagaraja Aradhana and a Carnatic music festival dedicated to M.S.Amma. first there was Pancharatna Goshti Gaanam led by Aishwarya. Many Carnatic musicians of Dubai accompanied her. and then followed the power packed concert.

The program was from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. At the end of the concert questions were put to Aishwarya and she answered them patiently supported by Cienu Sir.

Despite leading the Pancharatna Goshti Gaanam, Aishwarya gave a stupendous performance in her solo concert. Loud and clear voice which traverses the higher octaves effortlessly. Accompanists supported her well. More chairs had to be brought in. It was a house-full concert with rasikas applauding after each kriti. loudest applause was when Aishwarya sang M.S.Amma's heart-touching Kurai Onrum Illai. I enjoyed the concert immensely and hope to attend more concerts of many musicians here in Dubai !
