Kum V Subashri, disciple of Dr S Sowmya performed at RagaSudha Hall, Mylapore under the auspices of Nada Inbam on Feb 12th 2015. She was accompanied by KJ Dileep and Guru Raghavendra. I watched the program. This youngster has been noticeable playing on the tambura in the past for her guru Smt Sowmya.
Subhasri is neither lacking in musical outflow nor quality of execution. She has a charming stage demureness. She of course has to work hard to build vocal stamina and strength to last a 4 hour concert and do justice to her musical ability. Will surely look out for her next program!

Observed so many times she playing tambura for vidushi sowmya and i did not know her name. The same view of rsachi is what i would like to echo.Even if I had not seen her and with just her audio recording , i would have said that subashri is a student of sowmya.

I would love to hear her live , but if there is a rtp link that she has sung that would be wonderful. God bless subashri and i wish her success in years to come.
