I had an opportunity to enjoy a chaste Thyagaraja Aradhana at Keeys Girl's High school, Secundarabad, conducted by Chandrasekerendra Sangeetha Edducational Society on 15th Feb. Puja started at 09 00 hrs followed by rendering of Sourashtra Ganesa kriti and then the P R kritis. A varsatile vidwan explained before every kriti the sanctity of the song and how to pronounce with out spoiling the beauty of the kriti as composed by St.T. All vidwans and vidushis were arranged to offer homage by sitting on the floor covered with carpet in front of St T's portrait decorated as sannadhi. After rendering of each Kriti Aarathi was taken. There was a perfect alignment of sruthi and thalam with out any derailment. Absolute silence was maintained through out. I could not identify the individual musicians, ladies out numbered male. The pandal was full all the time with out purging. It was a day long programme and was told there would be a smaradhanai at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the Aradana as I have done during my earlier days at Thiruvaiyaru. Kudos to the organizers.
My special thanks are due to Smt Sivakami a forumite for able guidance by giving essential land mark and the easy route to reach the venue. A request to our local forum member to bring out the names of the devoted Vidwans and Vidhushis participated in the homage as I could recollect only of Annavarabu and Malladi. Any corrections and additions are quite welcome.

Shri Thanjavooran Avl,
Thank you very much for writing about the Aradhana celebrations that was held here at Secunderabad yesterday. The twin cities-rasikas refer to this as "Secunderbadhil Thiruvaiyaru". I had to miss this, due to my personal commitments, and it particularly feels nice to know about the event from a visiting forum-member's perspective, instead of the same local people trying to report(which sometimes may appear, as if we are boasting about our cities' events). I also missed the chance to meet you.
