Nadasurabhi continues its Music Education Initiative- Announcing Course 6.

Nadasurabhi is pleased to launch its Sixth course under the Education initiative to conduct high level music courses.

Details are as follows:

Guru: Karnataka Kalshree Rudrapatnam Sri.R.N.Thyagarajan (of the famous Rudrapatnam brothers). He is the nephew of Sangeetha kalanidhi Dr.R.K.Srikantan. Sri.Thyagarajan retired as Deputy Director of Doordarshan Kendra, Bangalore. He has won several prestigious awards and titles in music. He is also an Aasthana Vidwan of Kanchi Kamkoti Peetam. He comes in the direct sishya parampara of Saint Thyagaraja.


Course Title: Rare Compositions of Saint Thiagaraja.
The selected compositions are the only ones in that particular raga by Saint Thiagaraja. They are popular but unique in each of the ragas.


Dates and timing:
March 21st 2015, Saturday- 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm
March 22nd, Sunday- 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm

March 28th, Saturday- 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm
March 29th, Sunday- 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm

Stage presentation -date to be finalised.

Each session will be approximately of 2 hour duration.

Course fee per participant is Rs.1500 payable in cash or by Money Order or NEFT bank transfer in advance. Registration will be confirmed on receipt of payment.

No. of students: 20 only on first come first served basis.
Last date for registrations : 10th March 2015 or as soon as the seats are filled up, whichever is earlier.

Minimum Student Qualification: Must have learnt up to keerthanai level.
