Upcoming Master Sunil Gargeyan gave a good concert in Thrimoorthi Sangeetha Sabha Pozhichalur last Saturday Feb 21. he tood KJ dilip for Violin(sishya of Parur Family Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri KSG sir), KH Vineeth on Mridangam (disciple of Pathari Satheesh Kumar) and Harihara Subramaniam on ghatam (sishya of EMS). he started with "saami nee pai" varnam in Nagaswarali, then invoked Siddhi Vinayakam in Mohana Kalyani of Harikesanallur, then his brother Muruga Muruga in Saveri with an elaborate alap (of Periyasami thooran), worshipped Saakhetaniketana in Kannada of Sadguru Thyagaraja, followed by "kantajoodumi" in Vaachaspati, then "Inthanuchu varnimpa tharama" in new raga Kuntakriya of Sadguru Thyagaraja and dwelt in to a good RTP in Sankarabharanam with pallavi saamagaanamruta saaramam sa ri gha ma pa dha ni paaduvom. he tried to link thodi at the end! then he sang sri ramalinga aruta Paal kaattum oli vanna sphatikamani malayae and concluded with a thilla in Kalyana Vasantham.
Dilip. vineeth and hari did their job well in their respective thani.
a good evening with a team of youngsters carrying our Sanatana Karnatic sangeetham to the generations up.

Nice review yes rsally feeling happy that our shastriya sangeetham as shri Balamurali sir calls it is indeed in safe hands of younsters like sunil , also to review concerts of younsters is a positive thing they alsk feel encluraged

he is PSN sir's sishya. just abt 20 yrs doing 2nd yr graduation.

Heard a few recordings on you tube. Has good voice, follows convention and very talented.
