What is happening with timestamps?

Post by harimau »

Yesterday, posts were timestamped with IST.

Today, they are timestamped with UTC (as it used to be).

What gives?

I long ago have up trying to understand the time stamps here. I would have imagined that the time stamps in any such blog would reflect for anyone the time as per their home time on the device/computer. But it was not to be.

I just know that any post that succeeds another posted earlier as per the forum internal time stamp gets stacked as a later post. The dates are also sequential. So it's a workable situation.

Time stamps are a way to remind us about how our musical tastes are in a time warp
