It was a good concert. A confident presentation. The slokam in Hindolam was high class. Starts with Raghavam and has phrases of Aajaanubaahu- Aravinda dhaLaya..., etc., Could not place it. But very nice rendition.
The only alapanai came for Madhyamavathi. I think her forte is swaraprasthaaram. She is absolutely fluent and flowery. Very enjoyable. Hall, I felt had echo and acoustic problems. Sri.Jayachandra Rao, who is playing for all senior artists, introduced variation in nadais, etc., Violin was a bit screechy. Anil played enthusiastically but also with restraint.
Overall a good concert. I too left after thani. Past 8.30, I guess the payaru sundal prasadam had more attraction to my poor soul.
