Another enjoyable evening from the young team. Vinay Sharva has certainly elevated from his previous levels.( Its been long since I heard him, and it was a welcome development)

Good acoustics added to the treat. The concert was curtailed short due to a kathak dance that occupied additional 20 - 30 mins of carnatic program.

Would have sat for more, but it was 9.45 when he wound up the concert.

I also enjoyed the concert of Vinay Sharva and his accompanists of merits. I agree with Badari Sir, attainment of the higher state of his Vidwath reflecting the saadhana-Voice culture and manodharma-raaga sanchara (Maayamoulava gowla and Todi) and svara kalpana with sarva laghu. With experience and yogam, VS will be one of the young maestros, in the near future.

I experienced blast of sound systems with ever increasing demand by the artists for higher volume ( may be faulty monitor/feed back system) robbing away the serenity and sowkhyam of KM.

Please refresh my memory, is Vinay Sharva disciple of Bangalore Shankar? Curious I am assuming u are a software junkie (especially a database guy), i see all your review titles start with YYYY MMM DD format.

Vinay Sharva is disciple of both Bangalore S Shankar and higher studies from Guru Nedunuri.

Im not a database guy/ Software junkie. I just like to be organised.

I joked my friends yesterday that post this concert, I may have to raise funds to repair my ears. The sound issue was in feedback. But the novice sound engineer kept on cranking up the audience speakers !

The violin was not balanced for the audience speakers. I would love to see a day where the love for the reverb (in both feedback and audience speakers) is diminished.
