Saw this just now. Balamurali has regaled us with this song over the decades.

I would interpret the meaning of the charanam as follows:
Whoever, whenever, meditates on you, oh Ganesha, and requests you for some boon, you-the one who enjoys flute music- at once consider and grant the boon.

Vara is a pun here. Varatatvamasi means also "you are the wish-fulfilling power or godliness."
This interpretation is important because we need to know what happens when someone prays for a boon to Ganesha.the word vara answers it.
