Thanks.

Vinatasuta vahana - this is different song, than more popular one in jayanthasena, right ?

Pallavi should have been "Tamizhukku Amudhendru peyar inba tamizh yengal uyirukkuner" - a poem written by bharatidasan (and also a movie song)

Song is different. May be for Talam, Sanjay must have condensed the words. Is the song, in the movie, in Chenchuti ?

This was in Bangalore for gokulashtami celebrations ! Only one on Krishna & a Tamil Pallavi . Great sense of the occasion

It is not expected that only songs on Krishna will be sung. Even in KGS, it is not so. In Rama Seva Mandali concerts, the songs are sung on different deities. Tamizh is close to the heart of Sanjay and he sang fewer Tamizh songs yesterday.
I feel we need not have these niceties in mind, and it may be well to appreciate brahmamokate at least during a concert.

Had I the chance to be at many concerts in a series like this, and if all the artistes had decided to sing mostly songs on krishnA, I would long for one on rAmA--a tyAgarAjA kruti. Had there been a lone concert for the occasion, I see the point in making a concert a KrishnA special.

Other points for the performer to think about: a good blend of rAgAs, different textures in sAhityA, their emotional quality*, the state of one's voice that day, and of course, one's mood!

Cookie cutter concerts abound--from juniors to veterans and they can be savored too. RasikAs have many options to choose from, of course...

*Badari doesn't seem to mind (tamizh numbers). He's a kannaDiga. We all do not seem to mind (nor the previous generations) listening to tyAgarAjA's creations in concerts, however little our understanding of telugu...
