Dear Rasikas of Mumbai,
On the occasion of the commencement of the Bharat Ratna M.S.Subbulakshmi Centenary Year, Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha – Mumbai will be honouring Smt Radha Viswanathan with the "Sri Shanmukhananda Dr.M.S.Subbulakshmi Sangeetha Pracharya Award", which will be presented to her by the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra Shri Vidyasagar Rao.
Date: Sep 13th 2015
Time: 6 00 PM
This will be followed by a concert by Smt Gayathri Venkataraghavan.

Renowned Dr Cherian after examining Smt Radha (who had been hospitalised for 2 weeks and had slipped into coma ) at Vijaya Hospital , Chennai - sometime in mid April 1982, said that her chance of survival was extremely bleak.
Upon hearing this my Grandparents broke down. It was at this moment that my Grandfather Sri T Sadasivam (who was 80 years old at that time) commenced his 48 day fast.
