Children's Day and Vid.T.V.Sankaranarayanan concert @ RFA : Nov 14, 2015

Ranjani Fine Arts warmly invites all rasikas, young in age or at heart, to "Children's Day @ RFA" on Saturday, November 14, 2015, which will feature :

10.00 AM : "Samskrhythm" - percussion and humour act by Ghatam Dr.S.Karthick
11.30 AM : Music workshop by Prince Rama Varma, where children will get to learn kritis from the direct descendant of Maharaja Swati Tirunal
1:00 PM : Tala Vadya Kacheri by Vidwan Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma, who will bring out the music that lies hidden in household items like pans and buckets
3:00 PM : Magic show by Satish Kumar, and music-related games with prizes to be won!

This will be followed by our November monthly concert at 5.00 PM, featuring :

Entry to this concert is free for RFA members and all children below 18. Others are requested to collect donor passes. Since the hall has limited seating capacity, we request you to pre-register for this concert by calling 9342582686.

As always, you are making sure that the youngsters are given enough opportunities to learn. They also get a chance to perform regularly at Ranjani Fine Arts. You are making this one day festival a very special one for children--all fine musicians giving them a treat.

For a young sabha, you have been taking big steps in spreading music among children. Rama Varma who takes his workshops everywhere to the children also joins. Karthik and Anooru to add to the fun...

Outstanding list too, Braindrain!

But for a few usual items, TVS has sung a refreshing bunch of krutis. I bet they were riveting.
Kandan enRa pEril (peyaril) in kAmbOji is totally new to me. The ST hindOLa composition would have been memorable.
The ranjani+ RTP as well. pannaga Sayanan marugA is more like it.

Thank you, Braindrain. Very interesting list; the kAmbOji is new to me too. Wonder if the concert was videographed for youtube posting. Haven't heard a Ranjani RTP in a while.
Did he sing two mangalams? Was the second by Papanasam Sivan?
