Here is BSU 2015. With Nathotsavam in MA (TMK and Ranjani Gayathri) and BSU in Naradha Gana Sabha- a real musical diwali for rasikas.
BSU- the evening function was presided over by Sri. N.Gopalaswami (Chairman, Kalakshetra & Former Election Commissioner), who praised BSU 2015 as a curtain raiser to December festival.
Hon. Ariel H Pollock, Acting Consul, U.S. Consulate General, Chennai was the chief guest and in her speech, her interest in coming to Chennai from New Orleans city in US with lot of music background.
Smt. Mallika Ravi, Group CEO, Lancor Holding Limited will be the guest of honour. She narrated her good olden days with Sanjay in the same audit firm pursuing Chartered Accountancy
Ms. Maya Azucena, an American singer-songwriter, cultural ambassador and social activist who will be giving a performance, was singing a song on “cry love”. (3 minutes typical western song, excellent rendering by this lady)
Sanjay Subrahmanyam was felicitated and followed by a great concert. Earlier, he congratulated Sasikiran, in his one minute speech, for doing a wonderful job by organizing the programme

The meaning of Kadkanuvariki goes like this….

“For the ones who believe "there is," the assurance given by the wise that "there is,"

Sanjay fully fits to this statement. There he is. Masterly Todi and sahana was a real treat ?

He was in full flow and with the ambience and Varadhoo shadowing him for any intricate sangathis/swaram, Sanjay presented another wonderful concert.

Many artistes choose only the five words “niddura nirAkarinci mudduga tambura paTTi" for neraval. One may then wonder what next? Sanjay extended this beautifully to include "Suddhamaina manasucE su-svaramutO paddu tappaka bhajiyincu"

An excellent concert of Sanjay conforming to his usual high standards. The alapana of Thodi contained some unusal prayogams. All the aspects, raga alapana, neraval and swarams were showcased with the best of aesthetics and imagination. The Mukhari varnam and the Sahana song are new to me. The Sahana song had a structure of MD Kritis and we will definitely mistake it for a MD kriti, being in Sanskrit and also about Panchanadeesar which do not normally fall under PSI orbit.

Sanjay being the perfect professional, delivered the shortest acceptance speech of the citation given to him. He said- There is a concert waiting for me. So I conclude here. Wish others also emulate.

Season tickets are there. My friend purchased one for Rs.500. He was allotted R row. But people used to sit wherever seats were vacant. I purchased a daily ticket for Rs.50. Another day, I was simply permitted to go inside without ticket.

Only the front several rows are ticketed. They are mostly occupied by customers and potential customers of Lancor, Apollo Hospitals (considering the average age of the audience, there is a huge potential customer base for them) and dignitaries. As one used to making undignified statements, I don't consider myself a dignitary and I enter not through the front doors but through one of the side doors or through the back.
