Sanjay Concert - BGS

Post by rsrini080463 »

Vidwans Sanjay Subhramanyan
BU Ganesh Prasad - Violin
Arjun Ganesh - Mridangam
Alathur Raja Ganesh - Kanjira

Nice concert as usual - 3 hours and 15 minutes

1. Kambodhi Varnam
2. Tulasidhala - MM Gaulai
3. Devi Brova - Chinthamani
4. Dehi (Vai)dehi - Sahana
5. Enna Punniyam Seidhayo - Huseni
6. Kanthimathi - Kalyani (Main)
7. Jaya Jaya Padmanabha - Manirangu
8. Ghambeera Nattai - RTP (Pallavi - Mallari)
9. Aadukiran Kannan - Kapi
10. Karpooram Naarumo - Khamas
11. S'bharanam thillana
12. Mangalam

Entire concert with the accompaniments was extremely energetic and classic.

RTP was very innovative. I have heard Shri.Sanjay doing this Mallari long time back.

During Thanam, there were Raagamalikas in three installments - each time returning back to a brief Ghambeeranattai

Section 1: Revathi, Karaharapriya, Hindolam
Section 2: Hamir Kalyani
Section 3: Thodi, Mohanam, Naganandini

Hearty Congratulations to the SK Designate!

This is for Harimau to mark me as foe:
(From FB)
Santhoshmala V Iyer with Sanjay Subrahmanyan.
11 hrs ·

Shri Sanjay Subrahmanyan at Brahma Gana Sabha- 14/12/2015

I dont usually note the kritis but thanks to the non Chennai fans of thalaivar, I am under pressure to do so
grin emoticon

I love it when thalaivar sings any raagam. I love it when anyone sings anything in Kalyani. So combine these two....Imagine the bliss when he chose Kalyani as the main piece ..Kanthimathi Karuna Nira....

And yet another bliss was hearing his Raagam Tanam Mallari (Ragamalika in Tanam and Gambeera Naatai for the Raagam and Mallari) live for the first time...I have heard the recording innumerable times...but live is another story!

On a serious note, Shri Sanjay is in triple his usual form (Say touch wood at the end of each sentence)...Can someone make you feel you are listening to a smiling genius, who puts in 300% into each kriti....and you feel you are taking and taking some treasure, unable to give back anything?

Here is the smiling maestro, who made us feel exactly that ....‪#‎WordsCantJustExpress‬
