Create a Playlist with Youtube videos

Post by Meenalochani »

Dear Members,

I am not sure which forum my question on the above subject should be included.

I want help and suggestions in creating playlists of my favourite videos (for example, a concert of Sanjay Subramaniam) on Youtube so that I can listen to them in parts whenever convenient instead of listening to a concert in one stretch. I do not want to lose my privacy by doing so. I am asking for help here because I cannot find online help on this issue.

Thanks.

This link should help.

For example Prakash Rao's channel, has a lot of full length concerts, I use my Google account to log in, even if you stop listening a concert part way, it should remember where you left off next time you come. Hope this helps.

MaheshS,

Thank you very much for answering my question. On IPad, I have also logged in with my Google account and get to continue listening to the concert sof choice from where I left off the previous time. I also see "Watched" on the left hand corner of the concerts which is a very helpful. But my questions extend beyond this.

1. Can I use the same method on my laptop or main computer without loss of privacy?
2. Suppose I have partially or fully watched three or four concerts of Sanjay Subramaniam. If I want to choose one particular concert I am interested in to continue or repeat watching, I have to search through all the watched concerts to identify that concert. If I can put the favourite ones in a playlist option on youtube for easy access, then I do not have to go through all the concerts to identify that. Am I clear in explaining what I am interested in?

Thanks for any help.

1. Not sure about what you mean by loss of privacy. If you watch in one, the "other" will know, this is linked by your Google account not your device.

2. Because it's the same Google account you use, what do you in one will reflect in the other. So you've got multiple options of

-- add the video to "Watch Later" list
-- create a playlist and add the video to that
-- subscribe to the Youtube channel if it's updated frequently [like PrakashRao above]

I personally use a combination of all the above, as I use YouTube a lot on my phone as well. I hope that answers your questions.

MaheshS,

Thank you once again for your feedback.

I am only logged in with my google account on IPad but not on my laptop. So I have to use the same account to login to my laptop also so that laptop and IPad are linked. Am I right?

After doing the above then I will try your suggestions given in (2) as well as look at your suggested link. Hopefully I will get succeed in what I am trying to do.
