vEnugAnam thEnAi inikkudhE - kAnadA - Adi - ?
The two Alapanais were very good and the tani. Something didn't gel very well; and in my books it is the pace that she sings at. Oru rendum kettAn kalapramanam that robs the sheen. Else what with the 3 speed ata tAla varnam in kAmbhOji this would have been a cracker from the get go.

I believe Smt Suguna P also has a (translated) tamizh version of "parulanna mAta". I remember hearing her sing this in Cleveland some years ago with Smt SV.

Could never find that poise or tranquility in her concerts.
She comes across as being supremely confident ad blessed with talent. However, I feel that she tries too much and too harD.
Or maybe my age is catching up on me.

There are 2 kinds of Carnatic Musicians. Ones that make you sit back, close your eyes and throw your head against the back of the chair and those that make you sit up and move forward to the edge of the seat. A very few can do both and at will.

Completely agree with pp and sankark. She is a talented singer with good paadantaram. Worthy disciple. But there is no ease or sowkhyam in her singing. Swarams and ragams sound incomplete to me personally. Felt this in her music academy and ragasudha concerts. Nonetheless good repertoire and variety.
