About Universe Art Foundation:
Universe Art Foundation was founded in 2012 in honor of Nrithya Samrat Sri Karukurichi Venkatanarayana, a Bharatanatyam exponent, composer and lyricist. The aims of the foundation are:
1. To ensure that Indian artists do not live in poverty having dedicated their entire lives to ancient Indian art forms,
2. Provide medical facilities to artists and their families, in cases where they cannot afford them,
3. To provide education opportunities and funding for children of Indian artists to pursue careers of their choice unfazed by financial circumstances,
4. To encourage young Indians to take up traditional Indian art forms as a career, by providing talented individuals with necessary grants and funding to get excellent training by instituting art fellowships, and
5. To provide a platform for young artists to launch their career.
