Right at the outset it was announced that the concert of Aishwarya would be fully dedicated to Kadayanallur
Venkataraman and the compositions tuned by him.
The Concert commenced with beautiful Begade Ekadantham Upasmahe.
The next song saw Aishwarya brilliantly traversing between the octaves in Vande vasudevam with perfect Shruthi and swara landing. One could visualise both, the voice of Radha Viswanathan complementing MSS at the higher octaves and also the Great MS Amma herslf.
Lalitha ragam was rendered with Vidwat belying her age. Aishwarya beautifully handled the Raaga with paced and
brilliant improvisations done effortlessly. Natanala Brahmayaku of Annamacharya was rendered with great feel.
ShanmugaPriya is again one among the Ragas that I feel Aishwarya owned for the day. The Brigas were rendered such speed and precision, bringing mind boggling sangathis travelling between the octaves effortlessly. The Brilliant Nereval at Chathura Muruthi and kalpana Swarams shows how she understood the mood of the composer. Korvais in her nerval reflected her intricate Swara Knowledge.
I am sure that anyone who attended her concert yesterday shall really feel the words described above.
A special note on the accompanying artists of the Evening. Dr Narmadha was just brilliant. Like sugar dissolving in milk she complements Aishwarya so well. Sri Sivakumar on the mridangam lifted the concert to another level with his sharp anticipation.
My observations: Her music is pure with no dilutions bringing the Blend of Shasthriya and bhakthi Sangeeth.
Her “Shruthi” is "Sudhdham" . From the moment the Tanpuras are plucked in the beginning until it is rested at the end.
I wish the artist my best wishes on reaching great heights
A Review of a rasika from the Stage.
