Song list so far:
1. Natakurinji varnam
2. Pranamamyaham
3. Janani Ninnuvina - alapana by Smitha
4. Manavinalakim
5. Meenakshi memudam dehi - alapana by Rajkamal
6. Tani
7. Sarasamukhi sakalabhagyade
8. KIRAVANI RTP
Ashwin is taking the concert to a higher plane with an outstanding Kiravani alapana. Smitha is playing with a contact mike. But in all her turns, she's living up to her reputation. Wish she had used an external mike to obtain her usual timbre. Her Kiravani tana was good. Rajkamal was good in Purvikalyani raga. He has to work on sruti alignment when it comes to following other instruments (not an easy task for any flautist).

Thank you Rsachi for the detailed postings. Most of the items were familiar and also Raj Kamal was announcing it was easy to follow. All in all a good concert and surprisingly good crowd.
HM Smitha's violin as u pointed out did not sound natural due to contact mike.Perhaps it was used to match the other two instruments.
B C Manjunath and Sukanya Rajagopal excelled in their turns.
Nice Bajji Samaja picture posted by you added the required spice!

All the youngsters are good--and of course, Sukanya Ramgopal the elder (compared to the rest on stage) excels. Manjunath's playing gave the performance a boost. Yes, loved the tani.

Ashwin Anand is so good (first time I hear him). Cool delivery, calming sounds...

Heard Smitha last year accompanying Neela Ramgopal, liked her playing, heard her again recently accompanying Amrutha Venkatesh. How much she has grown in her vidvat in a year!

The flautist is very talented, but yes, the Sruti thing was noticeable. An easy thing to mend, with more sessions playing in an ensemble.

I thought the rItigowoLa was paripAlayamAm, though I could see it here and there sounding otherwise.

Sachi,
We met at last :) You are no more a name on the donors banners, the notable member on Rasikas.org :o

Met Badari, couldn't see Bhagwan and others...

Attended a concert after a long time. Ashwin stood out. Rajkamal needs to play at a lower sruthi and also personally would have enjoyed more sowkhyam. I wish smitha whom I have seen earlier couple of times and like her music not have used the contact mike. Too much of base and missed the treble. Enjoyed the keeravani and of course the bajjis during PK.

Met badari, tried to look for u arasi m'am. Tried to finally meet you sachi sir but don't know how u look! Saw an elderly person picking up more bajjis after the concert, thought of asking him are u sachi? :D

Arasi,
Yes, as Oscar Wilde said, youth is wasted on the young.

Ashwin was my son's classmate at Bishop Cotton's :)

Wasn't there a Bagayaneya (Chadrajyothi) before Janani Ninnuvina?

Ravi,
I want to answer your question from post # 7: Sri Ashwin is a student of Smt. Vedavalli. What is the lineage of the violin and vENu artists?

Vid H M Smitha is a disciple of Sri H K Narasimamurthy of Mysore ( Son H N Bhaskar and Mysore Srikanth are other noteworthy disciples)

Vid Rajkamal had his early carnatic music training from Vidwan S.A. Shashidhar and now getting advanced training from senior Vidushi Neela Ramgopal and Sangitha Kalanidhi Padmashri Dr.N.Ramani (copying this info from Nadasurabhi website)

Ravi, Yes!
Just to complete the list....

Vid Sukanya Ramgopal is a veteran as we all know ( Guru: Vikku Vinayakaram)

Vid B C Manjunath is a very talented "young veteran" (son of mRdanga Vid B K Chandramouli, disciple of Vid K N Krishna Murthy and Dr T K Murthy)
