When you ask tuned in kannaDA, do you mean the language or the rAga?

Please see this folder for three songs of hers.
And three photos I snapped at Kommaranahalli Ranganathaswami temple , near my hometown.
She spent her last days near this temple.
I will see if I can locate a song by Harapanahalli bhimakka. She is supposed to have narrated mahabharata in verse as a dialog . My mother and her sisters would sing it on occasions.Hopefully I will catch up with a full recording , done by one of my cousins and stowed in some attic

AIR Amruthavarshini 100.1 FM aired a series of progrmmes on on Helavanakatte Giriyamma few months ago. Dr Sukanya Prabhakar and team presented the songs. Most probably the songs were set to tune by Dr Sukanya Prabhakar herself. it was very informative.

Re: Information on two not so familiar Kannada composers
Helavanakatte Giriyamma was a spiritually aware person who helped people. Her legends were serialised some years ago on TV. The songs were the speciality of the serial and sung by the extremely talented young Varijashree. She is a flautist as well.
Kaivara Narayana's compositions are I think in Telugu and tuned by Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, at the request of Sri MS Jayaram, the son of the late educationist M S Ramiah. His compositions must be available as they are also presented in concerts.
