as soon as your plane touches down, you can request Ubergo by entering "Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira, Banashankari 2 stg" as destination. you can board your allotted Uber at Pick up point 5 or 6 in the designated lane. it is easy.
the distance is 45+ km and takes 1 hour 30 min. At night after the concert will be a similar journey.

A door-to-door car/12 seater from Chennai to Bangalore and back could be a better option - considering arriving at airport atleast 1 hour before and all the travel from/to airport in both cities.

Ok, folks, if a Tempo Traveller full of rasikas comes from Chennai for this programme, I shall take all of you to dinner after the concert! That is the least Bangalore can do.

It's previous owner used to do the round trip in my car regularly. I'm too old for ten hours driving in a couple of days, even if shared.

Anyway, sadly, some stuff has come up and finances are not available. I'll have to wait until they play together in Chennai.

it is too long, and it is much harder for me to get to and from the station than to and from the airport. Bargain flights are good value, even compared to train. Most people that I know, including Ashwin, do this trip by bus, but I am yet to overcome some fear of Indian bus travel and it also takes rather a lot of hours.

I can't complain: I live in Chennai, and, with a little patience, I can have most things in the carnatic world come to me
