Varna in sunAdavinOdini

Dear Rasikas,

Here is a varNa in rAga sunAdavinOdni, which I composed a few years ago. Very glad to share a rendition of the varNa, sung by Vid.Ragini Sanath.

The varNa is in AditALa - The uttarANga is intentedly composed in a "northern" verison, taking the shades of Hindustani rAga, Hindol, which is very close to Sunadavinodini, but differs subtlely to enhance the sAhitya bhAva.

The first 3 lines of the sAhitya are taken from a popular Kannada movie song of the 1960s.

Maha.Santhanam used to sing one varnam that has I think "mohana manohara lavanya rama" as the charanam.a very nice one.I had a casette.
